Most of our floggers without the tready grip are finished with rubber dip.
This stuff also is a good match for the between-matte-and-glossy rubber tails well, and it shows off the closest-packed patterns the tails are stacked into. As for the ball-chain, seeing how it packs together is really spectacular.
High-frequency AC goes right through the rubber on the more thinly-dipped ball-chain floggers. (Science lesson page on capacitance coming rsn.) So these are an excellent violet-wand accessory. For research purposes, of course, FAE has picked up a violet wand. The chain floggers page will note which ones conduct well as soon as I wipe this evil grin off my face long enough to convince a test subject their assistance will benefit the greater good of humanity.
